As mentioned in a previous article “Who’s Responsible for Knowing God’s Truth”, the bible was given by the inspiration of God.  Unfortunatley, many in Christianity today don’t believe in everything that the bible says.  Some say that a portion of the bible is “figurative” while other parts are “literal”.  Many believe that certain sayings or books of the bible are so outrageous and hard to believe that they just can’t be real.  Many leave it to their leaders to decide what is real and what is “figurative.”  It is extremely confusing that some leaders while maintaining that our Savior Jesus- a dead man (God in the flesh), rose from the dead into an immortal body, performed many miracles such as calming the sea, walking on water, healing the sick, raising the dead, and turning water into wine- yet they also maintain that the story of Noah is fable or “figurative.”  They say that the story of Moses is “figurative” and God didn’t really consume the top of a mountain with fire in his presence, or part an entire sea so that the Israelites could cross.  They say that the story of Job and Sodom and Gomorrah are just “stories”, given for our learning but they never really happened.  They say that God didn’t create the earth at his word in six days and didn’t create man out of the dust of the earth, but rather favor human theories of evolution as fact.  Yet with all these things being said, they maintain that the miracles of Jesus are real?  To the logical person, do these people make any sense?  It seems like a “cherry picking” on the part of these men as to what is real and what is not.  Their message becomes- “God can do anything, but he couldn’t create our world in 6 days because a science guy told me so.”  And “God can do anything, but he couldn’t part an entire sea of water because that defies the laws of physics and a science guy told me that just isn’t feasible.”  The real subliminal message of these men and leaders becomes “God can’t do everything, rather God has limitations.”  We live in a sad, sad time when so many professed Christians actually believe these false teachings brought by their Christian leaders subliminally.   Make no mistake- God can do all things, and he already has.  God created the laws of physics, and can change them with a simple command.  The average student of today would tell me I’m a fool for discounting science, yet I maintain that today’s top scientists, so-called intelligent free-thinkers, and many college educated young people and professionals alike are foolish to think that they can understand, much less assign limitations to the power of God our Creator.  No amount of human intellect and no amount of advanced education can give us even a glimpse into the vast mystery and power of our Creator.

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” ~ Matthew 22:29

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” ~ 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Many of these “fables” Paul was speaking of have been rooted in science, evolution being a huge one.  The truth is found in the doctrine of the bible.  Allowing anyone to dictate to you what part of the bible is truth, and what is figurative due to your own personal lack of belief in the scriptures is a dangerous practice.  It is dangerous, in that one places their entire trust in a faulted, sinful, and foolish human being (which includes all of us) rather than in the God inspired words of the bible in their entirety as they are written- to lead us to truth.  Those that have ministers that have discounted portions of the bible as “figurative”, I have to ask you:  Have your ministers told you that Mount Sinai was discovered in Saudi Arabia, and the entire top of the mountain to this day is blackened and burned rock?  Have your ministers told you that the remains of the alter of Moses was found at the base of Mount Sinai along with the remains of the 12 pillars that were erected there?  Have your ministers told you that the remains to the altar of the golden calf have also been found at the base of Mount Sinai?  Have your ministers told you that the wells of Elim have been discovered and continue to actively give water to this day?  Have they told you that the rock that Moses split was discovered, along with water erosion protruding from the area surrounding it?  Have they told you that the crossing site of the Israelites was found at the Gulf of Aqaba, and that remains of Egyptian chariot wheels and chariots were discovered and photographed at the bottom of the sea there at the crossing site (Pictured to the left)?  Have they told you that the remains of Noah’s Ark was discovered in the late 70’s (Pictured above) in the “Mountains of Ararat” just as the bible said, and today there is a National Park surrounding the Ark found in the country of Turkey?  Have they told you that the anchor stones of Noah’s Ark can be found in the surrounding area there in the mountains?  Have they told you that the waste land of Sodom and Gomorrah has been found and is full of sulfur balls (fire and brimstone), which to this day will burn and melt anything in their path when lit?  In the bible, we find nothing but truth!  In the wisdom of man, we find nothing but lies and vain distortions.

Do you wish to see these things?  Do you need proof and evidence that the bible is real?  God is providing this evidence today, so that you will know that the bible is real, and God’s words are true.  I encourage you to look at the “Is the Bible True” page of this site, where you can see video evidence, pictures, and even Google Earth images.  Yes- Mount Sinai, and Noah’s Ark can even be viewed by Google Earth on your home computer.  The bible was given to us first so that we know our true history in relation to our creator, second to testify to us of the truth and God’s complete plan from the beginning to the end of time- all centered around our savior Jesus Christ, and third to give us warnings of the past and warnings for the future.  The bible was given to be studied line upon line.  The Creation is real, it happened just as it is written- the story of Job is real, the story of Noah is real, the stories of the patriarchs and Abraham are real, the story of Sodom and Gomorrah is real, the story of Moses is real, the stories of the Israelites during the times of the judges and kings are real, and yes the story of Jesus is real.  It is all real and true and accurate.

“Whom shall he teach knowledge?  and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?….For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” ~ Isaiah 28:9-10

Again, many today- even leaders in Christian churches, seek to discount parts or portions of the bible, or even label the entire bible as figurative or symbolic.  These teachings discourage the simplest of God’s people from searching the scriptures to see the truth.  Any man that seeks to destroy the holy writings of the bible by planting seeds of doubt or mythology within their sphere of influence, is choosing to live very dangerously.  Those that choose to follow these men or women are also walking dangerously.  Allowing leaders to decide what is true and what is figurative in the bible, allows much room for deception, twisting, and distorting of the truth, messages and warnings of God found in the bible.  It allows these leaders to mold the bible to their liking, rather than mold themselves to the truth and testimony found within the scriptures.  God’s word is like a two-edged sword and in the end we will all be judged according to it.  On the other hand, I’ve encountered those that have chosen to read the entire bible account and accept it for what it says.  The message is clear when it is read in its entirety leaving nothing out, and leaving nothing to man’s interpretation.  If one cannot accept that all scripture is true and accurate, than one will fail to see the deeper knowledge and wisdom available to us in that word.  All writings of the Old and New Testament are true, relevant and accurate, and contain the words of life.  We encourage you to read the entire testimony of the bible, we invite you to believe it, and to share it with all those that you come into contact with today.  Believe in the power of God.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” ~ 2 Timothy 2:15
